1893 The year in which the Chief Petty Officer rate was established in the U.S. Navy. The "1893" cigar is a tribute to the Navy's Chief Petty Officers, and is imported exclusively for Navy CPOs.

The cigar logo includes the anchors for Chief, Senior Chief, and Master Chief, as well as the inception year 1893.

This high quality cigar comes in Churchill (7" x 50 ring gauge) with Nicaraguan filler and binder. The 1893 is available in five wrappers: Connecticut Shade from Ecuador (mild), Indonesian Sumatra (light medium), Costa Rican Maduro (medium), African Cameroon (heavy medium), and Nicaraguan Sun Grown Corojo (fuller bodied). Other sizes, Toro (6") and Robusto (5"), are available by request.

The higher end cigar box has brass hinges, felt bottom and "humidor" construction. The box is elegant as well as professional and is appropriate for pinning, retirement and reward/recognition ceremonies, as well as for a "Thanks, Chief" gift. These humidor boxes may be PERSONALIZED using adhesive vinyl inkjet "paper". Just e-mail a photo (ship, members of the Mess, etc) and we'll print and apply as the inside box label at no extra charge.

The 1893 is offered exclusively to U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officers (active duty, reserve or retired). May be purchased as a gift for, or presentation to, a Chief. The 1893 is not available to the general public.
